The big news from Microsoft…

I don’t know if you’ve heard the latest from Microsoft?  Nothing’s been officially announced yet – there’s a big press conference about it on Thursday – but it’s been leaked early in a very big way.  Hot on the heels of the new feature I told you about last week will be coming… drum roll please… Windows 11!

Yes, you did hear me right. Windows 11.

Now I don’t know about you, but I distinctly remember Microsoft saying when Windows 10 came out that it would be “the last version of Windows”.  So you might be a bit surprised to hear that, actually… er… no, it wasn’t.

Here’s what we know about it so far:

  • It will almost certainly be a free upgrade for anyone who has Windows 10 at the moment.
  • It’s not as big a change as (say) Windows 8 to Windows 10.
  • Most of the changes I’ve seen have been more about how it looks than how it works – the start menu and taskbar have both been redesigned, for example.
  • We won’t know for sure until the end of the week (at the earliest), but people in the know are suggesting it’ll be out in October this year.  So we don’t have long to wait!

I’ll fill you in on any more details as I find out about them. But first…

A bit more on exactly what’s covered in Don’t Lose Your Story

If you’re sitting on the fence about the new Don’t Lose Your Story book, you might want to know a bit more about exactly what’s covered.

But rather than me wittering on about it, I thought I’d give you a copy of the contents page and the first few pages of the book – then you can see for yourself!  Have a read of it here.

If after that you’d like a copy of the book, you can order it here or read the full information about it here.
