Happy Easter… and a surprisingly interesting website

Happy Easter!  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Just a very quick one from me today, since it is a bank holiday.

First, I wanted to remind you that there’s no-one in the office to answer phone calls or emails today.  We’ll be back in as normal from tomorrow – although the girls might be busy catching up in the morning, so please bear with us.

And for those of you with itchy feet, I thought I’d share this website that I found over the weekend (I was looking for something for a school project, actually, but there’s loads on there!).  It’s a website from the cruise company, “Viking”.  They set it up a year ago now, at the beginning of the first lockdown, but I’ve only just come across it.

It’s called Viking TV, and there are some really interesting things on there – all free.  I was looking for something about the search for Tutenkhamun’s tomb, and found a short programme about it here.  If I’m honest, I’d expected it to be basically an advert for one of their cruises – but I was very pleasantly surprised!

There’s new content added every day with their “livestreams” – you can watch them live if you want to, but don’t feel like you need to.  Everything goes up on the website to browse later.  Each day of the week has a different theme – so Mondays tend to cover arts and music, Tuesday has history lectures, Thursday’s programmes are interviews with Anne Diamond, etc.  Worth a look if you’re at a loose end, anyway.

Well, that’s all from me for today – the Monopoly board awaits!
