We’re very sorry to say that The Helpful Book Company closed its doors on 31st January 2025, after almost 20 years in business.
There are just a couple of us left now, tidying up loose ends, but we can’t take any more orders or send out any free information packs.
We’d like to thank you all for your custom over the years, and wish you all the very best.

I’ll never share your details with anyone else and you can cancel any time you like.
But I doubt you’ll want to – after all, I get regular emails telling me how much these tips have helped people.

Just remember that it’s not a fully blown technical helpdesk – it’s not for asking about problems you’re having with your PC and expecting a detailed answer of what to do. It’s really for commenting on something I’ve said – maybe I’ve said X program does something and you want to mention you use it too and it’s great, especially the way it does so-and-so. Or maybe you want to mention that program Y does the same and you like it because of such-and-such. Or maybe you just want to say “That helped – thanks!” or just to say “I agree – why don’t Microsoft sort it out!” (Hmm I think that might be a common one)
